Kulia i ka Punawai proudly presents its first CD recording in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Daniel Ho (Daniel Ho Creations). Hula chants in honor of King David Kalakaua, including a historical milestone: a set of 15 mele composed for King Kalakaua's Birthday Jubilee on November 16, 1886, and published in the newspaper Ka Nupepa Elele on Dec. 11 and 18, 1886--presented here in its entirety, with complete lyrics and translations.
